Light, full of flavour, tender and succulent. So much better than my best memories of that succulent meat ball in rich gravy that we used to buy ready prepared in a foil container.
Easy Okonomiyaki
An easy recipe for Osaka-style Okonomiyaki, which is basically a Japanese omelette, but much tastier. The taste is pretty similar to the classic Okonomiyaki, and very much open to experimentation. You could add different meats, prawns, or make it Vegetarian.
Pulled Pork Sandwiches
I had not heard of pulled pork until earlier this year. Typically, once you are acquainted with something, you see & hear of it all the time. So, I decided to look into this as it appears to be so popular. I read lots of recipes on the net and there are so many variations and stories about where and how it originated, I got completely confused at first and put it to the bottom of the list of dishes to try.
It kept playing on my mind though and I finally decided to give it a go…
Spaghetti bolognese
If you’re not into cooking already, start making spaghetti bolognese, from scratch. It’s easy, delicious and will help with making so many other meals. Who needs Dolmio?
Croque monsieur
Cheese on toast. You can’t beat it. That is, unless you double deck it and add some ham – then call it a croque monsieur. Great for a lazy brunch, or quick snack.
