River Cottage hits Bristol!

We ate roast pollack from St Ives with a cannellini and bacon stew, with purple sprouting broccoli on the side, and merguez spiced squash, followed by chocolate mousse and creme brulee. It was really tasty - as you can see from the pictures, the portions were large (and we didn't really need the side) and it's great value for money, with mains around £9.50-£13 and desserts £5-6.

I love this place so much that I ate there twice in two days last week. I think everyone should know about the brilliance of Laura Hart's bakery, in an old Victorian railway arch by Bristol Temple Meads station.

Food For Friends, Yeah goes mobile!

For those of you who like to get your recipes on the move, we have some great news! Food For Friends, Yeah is now available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, Android and Blackberry 9000 series mobiles! The site is fully mobile friendly with access to all the latest recipes and reviews, as well as the option to search and access any of the categories and archives. This will be especially useful for those of you (me included) who like to follow a recipe on your phone, while in the kitchen, or to access a list of ingredients when shopping.
