The Big Fat Greek Foodie challenge

To mark Greece’s participation in this year’s Taste of London event, The Big Fat Greek Foodie Challenge has been launched, with chances to win fantastic prizes, including an amazing 5* holiday in Greece.

To enter, log onto these Facebook or Twitter pages and in 140 characters share your ‘Taste of Greece’. The most inspirational posts will win prizes including: flights, three nights’ accommodation and meals for two at the fabulous Lindian Village resort on Rhodes; three nights’ accommodation, wine tasting and a spa treatment in the rustically beautiful Pavezzo Country Retreat on Lefkada; 50 prizes of delicious Greek food products.

For the first time Greece will have a dedicated area at the prestigious Taste of London festival in Regents Park, with a selection of top producers, chefs, musicians and tourism experts.

Festival goers will be able to visit our traditional Greek market where top food and wine producers will be pedalling their wares and offering a nibble and a sip of the best ingredients from across the country. They can also get the inside scoop on the best kept secrets and places to take a holiday – experts from popular destinations across Greece will be on hand to shed light on where the whitest beaches, most picturesque towns, top hotels and restaurants can be found.

Foodies in the crowd can learn from the best as top chefs Dimitris Skarmoutsos (from Greek Masterchef), Andy Harris and Tonia Buxton prepare exciting Greek recipes and take your questions live in the festival’s food theatres. When legs get tired the market bar is a great place to stop for a Greek beer, wine or Greek themed cocktail.
