Signature Dish: And the winner is…

After just over a month of deliberating on our biggest competition to date, we’re really pleased to announce the winner of our Signature Dish competition as Jason (J@feasttotheworld)!
After sifting through numerous entry recipes, we narrowed the field to a select few and tested their recipes ourselves. We can happily say that Jason’s chicken dish is a worthy winner. We loved the fact that it was a handed down family recipe that has been tweaked, and have never cooked a whole chicken in water before, but were pleasantly surprised with the results: strong clean flavours and just the right balance. It was a delicious dish that we will be cooking again.
Jason wins the bumper prize: a Riverford veg box, a Riverford meat box and a Riverford cook book; a year’s supply of Kellogf’s Mini Max cereal; The Cookiepedia by Stacy Adimanto; A jar of Byron Bay Cookies; The Cook’s Book by DK and a year’s supply of Easy Do cleaning products.
Lucky Bug Bev’s Mum’s Ham Shank Stew came a close second. We loved the rhyme that accompanies the dish, and thought it was a really tasty option, filling and healthy and a great way to use an unusual cut of meat. We’ll be sending her a little prize too for her great recipe.
To everybody else: thank you so much for entering. We were really impressed by the standard of entries and the response we got to it. All the recipes are now up online to read. Keep tuned to FFFY for future competitions and giveaways – and keep on cooking and sending us your recipes! We’re glad to have you onboard.
Matt and Laura.
