The Friday Wish List: Autumn
The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness is apon us and we’re looking forward to the unpredictable weather as it’s a time of year when we spend more time in the kitchen. I love being cosy inside when it’s howling a gale outside and we’ve put together a list of things to help you enjoy the autumn and your autumn cooking below.
1. Sipsmith Damson Vodka (£28.99)

We’ve got some Sloe gin going in the cupboard but if you missed picking sloes this year or just can’t be bothered, this damson vodka from chic boutique distillery Sipsmith in London will warm your cockles on a cold night.

As the days get shorter, we’re getting up later and don’t have time for a leisurely coffee before work. So why not take it with you – this travel press mug keeps it warm and fresh for our blustery walk down the hill to the office.

I’m a sucker for all things Halloween, from cakes oozing green goo to pumpkin lanterns. I love the bold illustrations in John Lewis’ 2011 halloween decorations, including these plates.

I wish I had one of these – handthrown mugs look so much cosier and tactile than factory made ones, don’t you think? And the colour is very autumnal. Imagine warming your hands on one on a cold evening.

365 soup recipes to keep you warm this autumn. We like the sound of the Moroccan lamb and chick pea one, hearty enough for dinner really. This recipe book has had some great reviews from readers on Amazon.

This jolly red teapot is a design classic and perfect for when you invite friends over to try your new bakes when the wind is howling outside and all you want is to be cosy and snug inside.
