Five Star Butter cake

Serves 10

  • 250g butter
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 2 cup self raising flour
  • ½ cup custard powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tea spoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Pre-heat your oven to 180°C and grease a large cake tin.

Cream the butter and sugar together with an electric mixer.

Sift in the dry ingredients, followed by the eggs, vanilla and milk. Beat it all together for about 10 minutes.

Spoon into your tin and bake for approximately 1 hour (you may need a little more time depending on your oven).

Remove from the oven. Turn out onto a cooling rack and allow to cool.

    That is an incredible presentation. I definitely would try and make your butter cake recipe. It is one of our favorite cake flavors in our family. Thanks for sharing that wonderful picture too. This would really go well with a cup of coffee made from my coffee makers machine at home. Kudos!
