…Continued from Yum in the sun: Part 1
We were now on the road again, feeling the effects of the cider, and pleased we hadn’t drank any more. Our stomachs were rumbling, so we headed to the next stop on our trip, Sharpham Park Butchery and Deli. We knew that we wanted local meat to cook for dinner, and maybe something nice for breakfast. After hearing we were cooking in a camper van and limited to a grill and two hob rings, the butcher suggested pork tenderloin and sausages. Sold. We had a sandwich in the cafe, and set off again.

We still needed some fruit and vegetables, but had somewhere in mind. We drove towards the beach, waved at the cars on the M5 as we passed overhead, and realised, our van was awesome. We arrived at Putsborough Sands and Laura hopefully asked the car park attendant if we could stay overnight. She said for £20 we could park up along the bank and stay the night and the whole of the next day. Great! I spent a few minutes trying to maneuver the van to the best position possible, before settling down and admiring the view of the sea, sand and stacks of surfers. Why hadn’t we brought our boards!?
